Our trip to Mekedatu

It was an usual Sunday morning. We woke up around 8.30 AM. Not we, only I woke up at that time to see Viky, Ravi, B M, Dev still sleeping. Once I thought does these guys belongs to "Kumbakarna" dynasty by any chance !! Before going to bed on Saturday night, we had decided to go to "Shivanasamudra" on our bikes for a trip. But now it seemed unlikely....

Anyway, I went home (by the way, I stayed back in Ravi's house on Saturday night ) to finish the usual routine. Then again, my camp on Sunday is at Ravi's house. So drove back to his home to find the other guys getting ready, packing luggages, searching for water bottle.. huh !! Suddenly where are we heading to ? The plan has been changed.. We are going to Mekedatu.. Thats what Viky told... Fine !! Done !! We all yelled in unison !! Hurray !!!

We started on out bikes @ 10.30 in the morning. Viky and Ravi being "Wing Riders" started their Unicorn and Me being "Definitely Male", kicked my Pulsar. Dev in my bike and B M in Viky bike... Done.. Ready, steady Gooooooooo...
Heyyy stooooooop... But why ? Common, we didnt have our breakfast yet.. Hmmm... We decided to give a stop in Kanakapura Road Adigas hotel. Fund was raised and we had out breakfast.. But it was costly there. One plate Idli Vada costs you 24 bucks.. Decided not to visit that place again !! Fine, lets start.. Its already 11, I murmured. But everyone was about to start their second innings in Adigas except me and Dev.. Then they decided against it and we started.. But heyy.. one min... Petrol ?? Yeah, we have to give one more stop to fill our bike's tank... Thats also done as we got a bunk just about 1km from the hotel.. Now a straight and long journey to Mekedatu without giving any stops, we decided... Ruyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...... We started racing with our mean machines.

Dev is always bit reluctant to be a pillion rider. But now no other go. He has to. :-)... While starting from Adigas I decided to go slow till we reach the outskitrs of the city. But man, I couldnt, as vicky and ravi were racing. Even I started. All of us were going in 90+.. Whah !! What a ride !! We reached Kanakapur in no time. We packed some eatables from a "Kiraani angadi". After Kanakapura the road was really bad. To travel 30km, we took one hour or so. By the time we reach Mekedaatu it was 12.30PM.

We parked our vehicles at Sangama ( Sangama is a place where river Kaveri and Arkaavathi meets ) . Mekedaatu is just 5 km from Sangama. To reach the other end of River Kaveri you have to take a "Ukkada" in rainy season which will cost Rs. 40 per head. Yeah ! Bit costly. But cant help man.. You have to shell out money there.. But for urban people thats a different experience going in Ukkada. Once you reach the other end of Kaveri, you can walk those 5km or take the bus. There also you have to shell out 40 Rs per head for the bus. The bus is a musium piece. Please take a look at the above photo carefully, to have a glimps of that antique piece.

Anyway, we decided to take the bus, as all of us were bit tiered. We reached Mekedaatu around 1.30PM. Woooooooooow !!! Its amazing !! What a wonderful stretch this is !! You have to visit that once in the rainy season !! We climbed the rocks (BM didnt), took snaps, stared at some beautiful gals ( c'mmon, we are all bathcelors, and we are permitted to do this !! ) and we watched Kaveri, and its endless journey... It had cut rocks, waded thro' the Jungles to create that scenic beauty !! We spent quite a lot of time there. Everyone forgot about LUNCH !! Dev took a nice video as well. Han, we had a good Camera.. The one, GS bought from US...

After spending 2 hours, doing some adventure, we decided to go back to Samgama to have fun in the water. We took the bus again, back to Sangama.. As soon as we reached there, Dev sat under a tree, as he had headache. And am bit reluctant to play with water, in places like Sangama, as I had done the same thousands of times in my childhood days.. But Viky, BM and GS jumped to water as soon as we got down from bus. I played the role of a spectator well !!! Took some great (only for batchelors, on request) snaps of those guys playing with water.

Finally they came out of water afresh ( I assumed ) and we decided to move. It was 4.30 and we were yet to have our Lunch !! We were hearing lot of sounds coming from inside our stomach.. Thaa dhimi thakka dhimi tharikita dhimi ... Guess ... We were hungry !! But you cannot have anything in Sangama if you are a veggie.. So we started. We started the racing !!! This was one amazing race... 2 pulasrs ( 1 is mine, I dont know the other one, it was 180cc RED ), Viky's Unicorn, 1 Fiero and one Apache !! I never knew that Unicorn can go in neck to neck with that 180cc Pulsar.. huh !! I maintained 3rd spot ! Bronze medal for me !! I didnt see that Fiero and Apache for a long time after we gave a stop in Kanakapura :-). Well, no need to mention about GS.. He got stuck behind a car and he couldnt overtake the same !! We waited for him to reach Kanakapura.....

We entered a nice looking veg hotel. All of us played 2 innings !! And then headed back to Bangalore.. We reached Bangalore Safely by 7.30PM... It was really a nice experience and a nice, refreshing one day trip !! You also plan for it one day !! Now me signing off !! Bybyeeeee....

Guard your Mind~~!!~~

The tittle itself says everything that I need to tell about the topic... Guard Your Mind guys... Our mind is like a beautiful garden, where in thousand types of flowers blossom everyday... The only thing you need to do is, taking care of your garden, by not letting in the intruders.. Here intruders are none other than "bad thoughts" that keep entering into our mind..

Most of the time, we never control the thoughts that enter our mind. We let everything come in !! But it shouldn't be so. If that happens, you lose your energy. Let those thoughts come in which has the positive effect on you, which nourishes your soul, which hightens your energy levels. To do that you need to decide upon which thoughts to give the permission to enter your mind. Its not an easy job guys... Constantly keeping track of your thoughts and controling them is never an easy thing.. But it can be achieved through continuous practice and awareness...

So guys, start to nourish your beautiful garden from today itself and see the changes that brings into your life.. Be a "maali" of your own garden..

Think Positive !!

We think a lot everyday... Thousands of thoughts cross our mind every hour... But... Are they really worth ? Do you havethe power to control your thoughts? Do you have the control over your mind? Think about it.. If the answer is NO, then youneed to concentrate on your thoughts...

Because, if you let your thoughts to control you, then you will have no control over your life... People are poisoning their minds with negative thoughts.. Negativity is the poison that kills dreams! And we need to stop it before it contaminates our lives. Negative thinking cripples a person's life to one degree or another. It robs people of the opportunity to live up to their full potential and of achieving their greatest desires and aims. It brings depression and other mental disorders, and that in turn leads to physical disorders. It wont let you achieve anything more..

Many people dream of being a person who changes the world through some great work written, a great deed of courage performed‚ or great acts of compassion rendered to those in need. But the negative feeling of "I just can't do it" robs people of that chance to make good on their dreams. (Excerpt by Maria Fontaine)

Strive to think positive, empowering, and supportive thoughts. Monitor your thoughts closely. When you hear yourself complaining, stop yourself immediately. The energy of the words that you speak is a powerful force that is creative.

You are so valuable and that should raise your self-esteem, and self-value!

Negativity is the anchor that holds you back.

Cut yourself free today and be the most positive, optimistic person that you know!

Have you noticed one more thing? Only one thought can run at a time in our mind. So whenever you start to think negatively, immediately replace that thought with a positive one !! This habbit is called as "Thought Replacement". With a constanteffort you can achieve this. You will feel the difference yourself later... But above all, monitoring your thoughts is themost important and the basic step you need to learn....

And the other thing I have noticed is that, many of us only think about the negative impact of doing something, which hinders us from doing the most beautiful thing we love... If we think positively, we can be happy or we can make our life a bit better.. You are not going to live for thousands of years, so whenever the opportunity knocks, make the most of it.. Realise the power of positive thinking..

Hope it had helped you a bit... Be happy...

Am Depressed Today :-( :-(

No, not really. This is what is am hearing these days from most of my friends. They say am depressed, not in a mood to do anything, need a break kind of sentenses. I just wonder what happened to these guys all of a sudden? What made them to feel so ?

We are all in mid 20s and all of us feel the same, sometime or the other. So lets just put some light on it. Everyday we wake up, go to office. Do some work, if no work, just browse. Come back home late night. Watch TV for sometime. Have dinner. Go to bed. Yeah !! This is exactly the same timetable which most of us follow. Over the weekends, meet some friends (remember, now there are very few friends whom we go out and meet), do a shopping and sleep whenever you get a chance to. Seems pretty much fine right? Whats the big mater here???? There is one thing... If you want me to put it in one sentense, we are not caring for our body and mind. NOT AT ALL.

Just remember the good old days when we were going to school and colleges. How happy we were... The word "depressed" wouldnt have come to our mind even once... But why now ? There is a reason behind it... We stopped enjoying the little things we used to... Yes.. Beleive me... We loved the walk to school, playing and dancing in rain water, the sight of our beautiful nature, the sunset, the ten paisa chocolate, the "kaaka" shop... Literally every small thing we encountered... But why we stopped doing that now? Who is hindering us from doing all these things again? Loving little things? Yeah I know, we are all matured now and we are professional... We are not supposed to behave like a child... But... If you cant be a child at times, whats the point in being grown up?

Now you know the difference.. Right? We are living robots... Just do the work that is instructed to.. Nothing else.. And then cry for happiness... Say am depressed, bored of this work.. If we continue this lifestyle, not just me or you, anyone for that matter will get depressed.... Happiness is a butterfly.. Dont chase it.. Let that come and sit in the beautiful garden of your mind... Remember, you cant buy happiness.. Its a state of mind.. If you decide to be happy today, no one can really bother you...

This life is beautiful... Make the most of it now... Start appreciating the little things that happens around us everyday... You will feel happy...

The First Article.... It has nothing ~~!!~~

Hi Friends,

I had been planning to start a blog from many days... May be from a year.. I myself doesnt know that exactly... But the time had never come... Rather my determination wasnt so strong to start writing something on the net....

But suddenly something pushed to today, to start a blog... May be today my inner call was so strong to start one... Huh !! Let me see for how many days I can keep this going..

But one thing is that, am not at all a good writer in English at all... All these days I was writing everything in "ನಮ್ಮ ಕನ್ನಡ "... This is a try by a novice writer (I dont know whether I can use the word "writer" ) to share his thoughts with the world... My world...

Hope to get a good response from you all..
Love you all.....
See you sometime later ...

Do we need Reservation based on cast?

Yeah, I know... This is the most discussed, debated topic in India in the National Level also... What am going to write here is purely my thoughts about it and no offenses meant...

As all of you know, when the reservation rule was made, they stated clearly that, its for only the next 10 years. But now its been 10*6 and still we have reservations. More and more in fact. Who is going to get the benefit out of this ? None other than the political parties. Agree?

Let me put some light on the things happened in my native. There is a higher primary school. And a teacher got appointed thro' reservation and he was supposed to teach English. First of all, in the minds of those village students 'English' was the toughest language. But this teacher himself didnt know the basics of English Language. What you can expect him to teach ? Those students got the wrong foundation. Somehow they passed 7th but most of them failed in English in 10th. Who is responsible for this ? Whom to blame?

If you have the eligibility, you will get the job. Why to snatch the opportunity from an eligible candidate ? Its not just the question of job. Its also about the reputed education institutions. Reservation for poor people is agreeable, but why based on cast?

The latest things that happened are the Gujjars riots and 27% reservation to OBC. And am also hearing that some politicians are raising their voice for reservation in Software firms. Oh God !! Noooo !!!! I dont want to elaborate on that more as all of you know about that.

So what should a general merit candidate do ? How we can save our country from the clutches of these selfish, dirty politicians? How can we raise our voice against it to make India a better place to live? Who is responsible for this? People ? politicians ? Organizations ? Or our constitution?
Still the answer for all the questions are unknown......
